Bed-Spreads

A bedspread changes a room through the way its cloth is made. Kantha running stitches draw layers of cotton together into a soft, lightly quilted surface. Elsewhere in the collection, artisans build pattern through appliqué, hand block printing, Aari embroidery, mirrorwork, and Patola-inspired designs. Each technique leaves a different texture and weight in the hand.
