Details

Enchanting, organic, and effortlessly elegant — the Haven Fern Luxury Vintage Suzani Kantha Throw invites a sense of grounded beauty into your space.

Handcrafted with love using traditional Kantha embroidery, this inviting throw is finished with a stunning, intricate scrolling border that frames the piece like a work of art. Each throw merges two revered textile traditions: Suzani, known for its intricate, heirloom-quality embroidery, and Kantha, celebrated for its fine, hand-stitched quilting. Together, they create a luxurious blend of artistry and texture—quietly expressive, beautifully detailed, and entirely unique. Crafted by skilled artisans, no two pieces are ever the same. They're the kind of textiles you keep for years. Available now, but only for a short time.

Materials + Care

100% genuine cotton

Wash separately before first use. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softener. Air dry or tumble dry low.

For the best longevity and to preserve the fabric’s beautiful texture, professional dry cleaning is recommended.

A note on Kantha: Kantha is made by hand from layers of textiles. Loose or uneven stitches, small thread tails, slight puckering, and variations in texture are natural parts of the process and are not defects. Do not pull loose threads; trim them carefully if needed.

Two Traditions, One Needle

A Vintage Suzani Kantha begins as layers of vintage cotton — reclaimed fabric, already softened, already carrying the colour and pattern decisions of whoever made it first. Those layers are quilted together by hand with the kantha running stitch, worked across the entire surface until the cloth holds as one. That alone would be enough. But then a second craft begins: suzani embroidery, stitched on top of the quilted base, its medallions and flowering vines covering the surface with threadwork that takes weeks to complete.

Because the vintage cotton base is never the same twice; different saris, different colours, different combinations, and because the embroidery is worked by hand, no two pieces in this collection are identical. The one you receive exists once. When it is gone, that particular throw cannot be made again. It is also heavy.

"The base is vintage cotton — which means the cloth has already lived a life before the embroidery begins. What you receive is the sum of both."
