Details

Rooted in a centuries-old tradition from Rajasthan — the Verdant Fern Handmade Bagru Block Print Throw is a piece you'll reach for every day. Hand block-printed in the ancient Bagru tradition, each throw is crafted by skilled artisans using intricately carved wooden blocks and natural dyes: deep indigo from indigofera plants, rust red from madder root, iron black from rust and tannin. The fabric is prepared through a traditional mordanting process before printing, so the colours bond deeply with the cotton and age beautifully over time.

The result is a textile that is quietly beautiful: earthy, grounded, and full of handmade character. Look closely and you'll see the soft, slightly fuzzy edges of each block stamp — a hallmark of authentic hand printing — and the gentle variation in ink depth that no machine can replicate. No two pieces are ever identical. These are not mass-produced — they are made slowly, by hand, in the way they always have been.
