Who We Are

Not polished. Just real.

The Kokum Tree is named after the kokum fruit — a little-known ingredient native to coastal India, deep-red and fiercely tart. Nothing like the polished, universally-palatable options on every shelf.

We source kantha throws, suzani bedspreads, block-printed cushions, tote bags, and wall tapestries directly from artisan partners in India. Pieces made by hand, by people whose craft techniques predate any factory.

One Reel

Show the piece in motion — how it drapes, how it feels, how it sits in your space. Short-form, unscripted, and genuinely yours. Or just choose the way you like it!

One post of your choice

A carousel, a static, a story highlight — whatever format feels natural to you and your audience. Honest over perfect.

Before you shoot: If you need, we would share a brief mood board and a few notes on the piece so things feel cohesive without being constrained.
Collaboration: Add @the.kokumtree as a collaborator so it shows up on our profile as well. Feel free to include a disclosure about the piece being a gift if you'd like.

On timing — we ask that both posts go live within 3 weeks of receiving your piece. If life gets in the way, just let us know. We are humans as well :)
