Details

Wrap yourself in a garden dream with the Marigold Reverie Kantha Throwβ€” a hand-stitched homage to blooming fields and sun-drenched afternoons. Each patch of this kantha throw carries the warmth of marigolds, the hum of quiet villages, and the soft rhythm of thread passed from one artisan to another.

Crafted in small batches using traditional techniques, its floral motifs and looping embroidery are a celebration of imperfection and soul β€” no two pieces are ever the same.

Whether draped over your sofa or wrapped around your shoulders, this cotton throw brings a sense of slow living and quiet joy into your home.

Printed Cotton Quilted By Hand

Every printed kantha throw starts as a length of plain cotton run through a Rajasthan print workshop, a pattern laid down either by a carved wooden block or a fine mesh screen, depending on the design. The cloth is dyed, dried in the sun, washed, and dried again until the colour is settled and the hand is soft.

Then a quilter takes over, and the Kantha running stitch begins which is worked across the entire surface, holding the two layers together from one edge to the other. It is a slow process. The finished throw has hundreds of individual stitches in it, none of them mechanical.

What you end up with is a cotton throw that is light enough to fold into a bag, warm enough to sleep under, and printed well enough to leave draped over a sofa without a second thought. It is the most versatile thing we make.

"Printed in Rajasthan, quilted by hand. Two layers of cotton held together by a running stitch that has no beginning and no end β€” just a maker who kept going until the cloth was done."
